Life Drawing - To Honour The Mother

A life drawing workshop to honour The Mother - the part of us all that creates, cares for and nurtures and that holds so much for others. For mothers of all kinds: of babies and children, of grown adults, of businesses, of creations like no other. Join us as we celebrate the part of us that allows us to do our loving and giving and honour those that have done this for us. We’ll nurture the nurturer - falling back in love with the body that has given so much, tried so hard and loved so fearlessly.

I’m inviting mothers, those of you on the journey to motherhood in all its forms and those of you that no longer have mothers to this workshop. Join us at Stoker Studio for two hours of creative expression. This workshop suits those who have no experience and those who love to draw. Nibbles and chai will be lovingly provided. We’ll make art inspired by our nude model and experience the practice of observing the human form and expressing on paper what comes through.

I’d like to acknowledge that the journey to becoming a mother is not always smooth and that mothering someone or something in this world is not always easy. I myself am not a mother to children and I’m here to explore the archetypal mother with you.
